El Paso Verde
from Design 6 Studio with Prof. Awomomlo & Prof. Lamba-Isaac
El Paso Verde Project takes place in the year 2074.
El Paso Verde and other Eco-communities like it redefine a border entirely by removing a divisive barrier and creating a desirable, sustainable destination in its place. Dismantling the Mexican-American border was essential in order for both countries to maintain the necessary resources and to address the cruel immigration restrictions America had in place. The merging of these cultures and resources allows for this community to regenerate and support those who want a green, self-sustained lifestyle without borders defining how they live. |

What makes you want to design spaces that people enjoy?
In the built environment there are too many structures that do not take into account the human experience or the design is built for only specific human experiences and does not address the community it is built in. My goal is to design structures that provide for its context and community. It is unsuccessful when the building feels as if you can pick it up and place it somewhere else. -Nicole Wigdor |
